Abstract
DESCRIPTIONS OF ACADEMIC RESILIENCE IN STUDENTS OF THE FACULTY OF PSYCHOLOGY ISLAMIC UNIVERSITY OF RIAU Ferdian Dewa Pratama 188110213 FACULTY OF PSYCHOLOGY ISLAMIC UNIVERSITY OF RIAU ABSTRACT Academic resilience is a student's ability to survive in difficult conditions, bounce back from adversity, overcome adversity, and adapt positively to academic pressures and demands. Academic resilience is closely related to the attitude of a student, that is, students are very important in having high academic resilience if they want to be good students in the midst of changes in the learning system after the Covid-19 pandemic. This study aims to determine the description of academic resilience in students of the Faculty of Psychology, Islamic University of Riau. The subjects in this study were 281 students of the Faculty of Psychology, Riau Islamic University who were selected by random sampling. The data collection tool is in the form of an academic resilience scale consisting of 24 items compiled by Kumalasari (2020) and adapted by Vanessa Adela Putri. The analysis used is descriptive statistical analysis. The results showed that the majority of academic resilience in the students of the Faculty of Psychology, Islamic University of Riau were in the moderate category, namely 39.1% or as many as 110 students. Based on gender, there is no difference in the level of academic resilience possessed by students of the Faculty of Psychology, Islamic University of Riau. The results of the analysis can be seen from the year of class that there is a significant difference in the level of academic resilience owned by students of the Faculty of Psychology, Islamic University of Riau, that is, students from class 2019 have the highest level of academic resilience, and with the lowest level of academic resilience, namely students from class 2018.
