Abstract
Being a good student is a must in order to be able to take part in existing academic activities. Learning motivation is a way for students to provide direction and involvement in learning activities to achieve a goal. Supported by good regulations students will be able to manage their learning strategies, this can affect student learning motivation with good learning management within students will make these students get their learning achievements. This type of research is a quantitative research. The research subjects were students of the Faculty of Psychology, Islamic University of Riau with a total sample of 282 subjects with samples selected through the Simple Random Sampling technique and data analysis techniques using the Product Moment Pearson Correlation test. This study aims to determine the relationship between self-regulation and learning motivation of students of the Faculty of Psychology, Islamic University of Riau. The results of this study indicate that there is a significant positive relationship of 53.4% between self-regulation and learning motivation in students of the Faculty of Psychology, Riau Islamic University (r = 0.534; p = 0.000 <0.05).
