Abstract

This study aims to describe the types and functions of speech acts carried out in the Indonesian language learning process at SMAN 1 KANDIS class X. This research is a descriptive qualitative research. The technique used in collecting data is the SBLC technique (Libat Libat Cakap) and recording techniques. Data analysis uses a pragmatic equivalent technique. The determination of the types and functions of directive speech acts in teaching and learning interactions in Indonesian Language and Literature is based on indicators of the types and functions of speech acts derived from Austin's theory (via Chaer, 2004: 53). The population in this study is the speech of class X students in the Indonesian language learning process. The purpose of this study is to find out the types and functions of speech acts contained in the learning process at SMAN 1 KANDIS class X. The results of this study are the discovery of locutionary, illocutionary, and perlocutionary speech acts, namely the form of locutionary speech acts totaling 15 utterances, the following are illocutionary speech acts totaling 21 utterances, and the last is perlocutionary speech acts totaling 4 utterances. In conclusion, this study found utterances containing 40 utterances with the following types of speech acts: ordering, commanding, begging, informing, boasting, complaining, demanding, reporting, inviting, promising, swearing, offering, praying, thanking , praising, ordering, requesting, suggesting, advising, stating, complaining, demanding, prohibiting, insinuating, understanding, conveying, reporting, asking, ordering, mentioning, and ordering.
