Abstract
Augmented Reality (AR) is a technology that combines objects from the real world and virtual or virtual objects in realtime conditions. In the field of education, the decreasing interest in student learning due to technological developments and entertainment that increasingly presents interesting and interactive things such as online games or 3D animation. The lack of variety in face-to-face learning has a negative impact on teaching and learning activities, plus the media used for learning are mostly books that contain writing and few 2-dimensional images. This application was created with the aim of building an 8-phase lunar and eclipse learning application with augmented reality to carry out teaching and learning activities as well as to increase student learning motivation and student understanding of the 8-phase lunar and eclipse material. Applications are created using Blender 3D, Unity as a 3D display and by using markerless methods and using the ARCore SDK library. Based on the tests conducted, animations can be displayed indoors and outdoors and can track locations anywhere provided that the light intensity is sufficient above 10 lux light intensity, and in distance testing, at a small distance equal to 3cm 3D animation cannot appear and a distance of 5cm to 200 cm 3D animation can appear. User testing received a score of 86,53% with the conclusion that respondents "Strongly Agree" with the application of learning 8 phases of the moon and eclipse with augmented reality can help the learning process in high school grade 10 SMAN 14 Pekanbaru
