Abstract

This research aims to analyze the impact of using the Quick Response Code Indonesia Standard (QRIS) payment system on the profitability of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) on Jalan Air Dingin, Bukit Raya District, Pekanbaru.QRIS is a digital payment innovation developed by Bank Indonesia to enhance transaction efficiency in Indonesia.In this study, a quantitative method was used with data collection techniques through the distribution of questionnaires to MSME owners who have adopted QRIS.The analysis techniques applied include validity tests, reliability tests, classical assumption tests, and multiple linear regression to examine the relationship between the independent variable (QRIS) and the dependent variable (profitability of MSMEs).The research results show that the use of QRIS has a positive and significant impact on the profitability of MSMEs, with an R Squared (R2) value of 0.336, indicating that the Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard (QRIS) payment system variable has a 33.6% influence on the profitability of MSMEs.The remaining 66.4% is explained by variables not considered in this study.Thus, the adoption of QRIS can be an effective strategy for MSMEs in enhancing their competitiveness in the digital era.This study is expected to contribute to MSME actors, the government, and financial institutions in promoting digital transformation and the development of cashless payment systems in Indonesia.
