Abstract

Teachers' efforts are very important to overcome the learning difficulties faced by autistic students. Teachers are one aspect that determines the achievement of autistic students during the learning process and teachers must be adept at determining effective learning methods for autistic students. This research aims to describe the learning difficulties of autistic students and describe teachers' efforts to overcome the learning difficulties of autistic students. This research is qualitative research with a case study approach. The main research involved teachers and autistic students. In collecting data through observation, interviews and documentation. Next are analysis activities through data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of the research show that teachers use various techniques that are adapted to the individual needs of autistic students, teachers make efforts to overcome the learning difficulties of autistic students, namely, providing learning motivation, providing a variety of teaching methods, providing sufficient and repeated training, providing remedial programs, creating comfortable and conducive learning environment. From the various efforts of teachers to overcome the learning difficulties of autistic students, it can be concluded that the efforts that teachers often make to overcome the learning difficulties of autistic students are in the form of teacher efforts to provide learning motivation and teacher efforts to provide a variety of teaching methods.
