Abstract

his research aims to describe how students' germane cognitive load on the colligative properties of solutions during the covid-19 pandemic. This research was conducted descriptively with a quantitative approach. The sampling technique used purposive sampling so that a sample of 30 students of class XII MIA 3. The results showed that 2 students had a very high germane cognitive load, 14 students had a high germane cognitive load, 11 students had a fairly high germane cognitive load. , and 3 students have good germane cognitive load, so that the average score of students on the test in analyzing students' germane cognitive load on the colligative properties of solutions is 54.72. The average value is included in the less category. This means that class XII MIA 3 students have a high germane cognitive load on the colligative properties of the solution. The lower the student's score, the greater the student's germane cognitive load, which means that the student finds it difficult to work on the colligative properties of the solution.
