Abstract

Correctional Institutions are a place for the implementation of coaching efforts carried out on convicts and also correctional students in Indonesia, which was formerly called the term Prison. In this coaching effort based on Permenkumham No. 9 of 2019, correctional inmates called tamping are involved, the process of lifting this tamping will go through several predetermined criteria. This research was conducted using qualitative methods and a descriptive approach by conducting observations, interviews, and documentation to produce research data which was analyzed using social reintegration theory. In carrying out the appointment of tamping, there is a process that includes coaching and rehabilitation involving correctional officers and inmates. This reintegration can be seen through the tamping who is entrusted with helping carry out tasks and coaching efforts in the Rumbai Class IIB Narcotics Penitentiary.
