Abstract
The Strengthening Pancasila Student Profile Project (P5) is an effort to improve character education by forming student profiles who adhere to Pancasila values. In implementing education in the Independent Curriculum, especially formal education in schools, it certainly involves educators who are trusted by the community who teach students according to the curriculum and teaching and learning plans that have been determined. The importance of teacher readiness in implementing the program is because teachers are a key source for implementing the curriculum. The aim of this research is to describe teacher readiness in implementing the Project for Strengthening the Profile of Pancasila Students at SD Negeri 131 Pekanbaru. This research uses qualitative methods and a descriptive approach. Research data collection instruments were interviews, observations and documentation review of teachers who had implemented P5. Data analysis uses the Milles and Huberman method through data collection, data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The theory used is readiness from Edward Lee Thorndike regarding an individual's readiness. If he is ready, the individual can carry out activities well and get satisfaction. Based on the research results, the readiness of teachers has begun to understand and be able to carry out projects to strengthen the profile of Pancasila students, but there are still several obstacles faced by teachers, namely module design, limited time allocation for project achievement, parental support and limited infrastructure.
