Abstract

Based on observations carried out at the Tourism and Culture Department of Rokan Hulu district on March 10, 2020 data obtained a total of 22 (twenty-two) natural tourist attractions scattered in the district, among others lake sipogas, waterfall aek martua, hot water pawan, elephant stone simalanca, and so on.The application was developed using mobile-based software development methods that involve needs analysis, system design, implementation, as well as testing and evaluation. Technologies used include the Android SDK for mobile application development and the Google Maps API for interactive map integration. Spatial data and tourist attributes are collected through field surveys and local resources, then integrated into the application to provide comprehensive and accurate information. Research results show that this application can provide significant benefits for tourists, tour managers, and local governments in improving tourist destination promotion and management in Rokan Hulu district. It also comes with navigation features that guide users to desired tourist locations, as well as an interactive feature to provide reviews and assessments of tourist destinations visited.It is hoped that this Android-based GIS application can contribute significantly in support of tourism development in Rokan Hulu district, increase tourist attractiveness, as well as have a positive impact on the local economy
