Abstract

Correctional institutions aim to reduce crime rates by rehabilitating offenders. Criminals must follow coaching in order to be accepted back into society and not commit crimes again. To improve the quality and maximize prisoner development implementation, the Class IIA Pekanbaru Women's Correctional Institution implemented the Prisoner Coaching Assessment System (PCAS) in February 2022. The purpose of the research was to find out how the implementation of the Prisoner Coaching Assessment System (PCAS) at Class IIA Pekanbaru Women's Correctional Institution. This research employs a qualitative methodology with a descriptive approach. Data for this research was collected through interviews, observation, and documentation. Conducting some interviews with correctional officers as key informant and prisoners as informants. The study indicates that the implementation of the Prisoner Coaching Assessment System (PCAS) has an impact on the implementation of coaching and results in changes in the behavior of correctional prisoners. The implementation of the Prisoner Coaching Assessment System (PCAS) is progressing well, despite the sufficient number of correctional officers and the optimization of existing facilities to support the implementation of the Prisoner Coaching Assessment System (PCAS).
