Abstract
To maintain a healthy environment, research into indoor air quality monitoring systems has become a top priority. Air pollution can cause various health problems, including respiratory diseases and chronic diseases. Therefore, an effective monitoring system is needed to detect air quality in real-time. IoT technology has become one of the most popular solutions to implement this monitoring system as it allows users to monitor data online and interactively. This research develops an Internet of Things-based living room air quality monitoring system using DHT11 sensors for temperature and humidity, MQ-7 for carbon monoxide (CO), MQ-135 for carbon dioxide (CO2), and MQ-2 for combustible gas. Using an ESP32 Microcontroller to process the data and then monitored in real-time using the Blynk application and Telegram Bot. The results of this test show that this system can detect air quality well and can provide timely information, making it easier for users to monitor air quality in the living room.
