Abstract
Students who study while working are due to financial needs to help with family economics or those related to economic factors, in the form of wages, salaries and income obtained from work, namely to meet daily needs. This study aims to identify factors that influence the fighting spirit of students who study while working. This study is a type of descriptive research, which generally aims to provide a detailed explanation and description of the phenomenon or event being observed. The method used in this descriptive study involves various data collection techniques, such as direct observation of the subject or object of research, in-depth interviews with relevant respondents, and distributing questionnaires to obtain more structured data (Resseffendi, 2010). The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics where the results showed that the majority of students who are away from home at the Faculty of Psychology, Riau Islamic University showed fighting spirit in the moderate category (36.8). This indicates that the majority of students who study while working have strong abilities in facing and overcoming challenges related to everyday life. And able to adapt, manage stress, and continue personal and academic development.
