Abstract
Rice (Oriza Stavia L) is one of the important crops in Indonesia, because it is the staple food for most of the population, so it has an important role in fulfilling the carbohydrate needs of the population. This study aims to analyze: (1) the characteristics of farmers and business profiles of farmers. (2) Marketing channels. (3) Market structure. (4) Market behavior. (5) Market performance in rice marketing in Bungaraya District, Siak Regency. To answer the research objectives, it was analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis, Msi, Kr, Hi analysis and correlation analysis. The method used in this research is survey method. The sampling technique was carried out by simple random sampling. The samples taken in this study were 30 rice farmers, 4 collectors and 4 factory traders. The results showed that: 1) The average age of rice farmers is 45 years, the education level of farmers is an average of 9 years, the experience of farmer businesses is an average of 16 years and the average number of dependents of farmer families is 3 people and business profile farmers, farmers have a business scale, farmer business scales have various types of business scales, there are small scale, there are medium scale and there are also large scale. Some farmers' business capital comes from their own business capital and some borrow capital, a farmer's business capital for 1 hectare of rice fields is IDR 15,800,000,000, with 5-10 workers. 2) There are two marketing channels for rice in Bungaraya District, Siak Regency, Riau Province. channel I, namely farmers-collectors-rice mills (factories). Channel II, namely farmers-rice mills (factories). 3) The structure of the rice market at the farmer level is a perfectly competitive market. For the value of the concentration ratio (Kr) is 100, this market structure leads to monopsony, the market share value or market share is 1, this leads to a monopsony market structure and the Herfindhal index value is 0.28 and 0.26, this market structure leads to oligopsony.(4) ) Market behavior shows collectors and refinery traders (factories) as price determinants, for price correlation values are 0.906 and 0.951, price correlation values are 0.906 and 0.951 meaning the market is imperfectly integrated and price transmission is 1 for collector blades and while for refineries ( factories) namely 1 (5) The market performance of rice marketing in Bungaraya District is already efficient, market performance is indicated by a marketing margin of IDR 2,500/Kg for collectors, with details of marketing costs IDR 900/Kg and profits IDR 1,600/Kg. Whereas for rice refineries (factories) it is Rp. 3,500/Kg, with details of marketing costs of Rp. 1,200/Kg and profits of Rp. 2,300/Kg and dominated by marketing profits of 21.33% for collector traders, and for refinery traders (factories) the profits are by 20.91%. And the efficiency value is 0.18 for collectors and 0.16 for refinery traders (factories).
