Abstract
Bullying behavior is aggressive behavior through acts of violence committed by someone to cause a negative impact in the form of mental pressure and feelings as well as physical harm to the victim. This study aims to determine bullying behavior that occurs and the role of classroom teachers in dealing with bullying behavior. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. The data obtained comes from primary data, namely teachers and school principals, while secondary data comes from books, journals and relevant articles. Data was collected through interviews and observation. Then the data will be analyzed using the opinions of Miles and Huberman, namely by reducing data, presenting data and drawing conclusions. The results of this study are that bullying behavior that occurs is physical and verbal bullying. Verbal bullying targets a person's feelings and physical bullying which places more emphasis on the physical and body of the victim of bullying. While relational bullying and cyberbullying were not found. The role of the teacher in dealing with bullying behavior is by being a teacher as a guide, a teacher as a mediator and facilitator, and a teacher as an adviser. The role given by the teacher aims to reduce the level of bullying problems which are increasing day by day and cannot be resolved. Through this role students can be given guidance, direction, examples, role models, and teachers can become media intermediaries and providers of all facilities that can support so that bullying problems can be resolved.
