Abstract

The research was conducted at the Integrated Experimental Unit (UPT) of the Faculty of Agriculture, Riau Islamic University, Jalan Air Cold Ujung, Pekanbaru, for 3 months from September to November 2022. The research aims to determine the interaction effect and the main effect of mycorrhiza and grand-k fertilizer on growth and shallot crop yields on red-yellow podzolic soil. This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) which consisted of two factors and 3 replications. The first factor was the Dosage of Mycorrhiza with 4 treatment levels, namely 0,125,250 and 375 grams per plot and the second factor was the Dosage of Grand-K Fertilizer with 4 treatment levels, 0,10,15 and 20 grams per plot. Parameters observed were plant height, harvesting age, number of tubers per hill, tuber diameter, fresh weight of tubers per hill, dry weight of tubers per hill and tuber weight loss. Observational data were analyzed statistically and carried out by Follow-Up Test for Honest Significant Differences (BNJ) at the 5% level. The results showed that the interaction of Mycorrhiza and Grand-K Fertilizer had a significant effect on the parameters of plant height, harvesting age, number of tubers per hill, tuber diameter, wet tuber weight per hill, average dry tuber weight per hill and tuber weight loss with the best combination of 375 gram mycorrhiza per plot and Grand-K 20 grams per plot. The main effect of mycorrhiza was real on all observation parameters, the best treatment was a dose of 375 grams per plot. The main effect of Grand-K fertilizer was significantly on the parameters of plant height, harvesting age, number of tubers per hill, tuber diameter, fresh tuber weight per hill, average dry tuber weight per hill and tuber weight loss. The best treatment is a dose of 20 grams per plot.
