Abstract

This research aims to determine whether or not there is an influence of employee performance on public services at the Riau Province Education Office. The method used in this research is a mixed method research method, namely a combination of quantitative and qualitative methods. Data obtained through interviews, observation, documentation and questionnaires, sampling techniques using census and purposive sampling techniques. The Census Sampling Technique here is a technique for determining the sample if all members of the population are used as a sample, namely the Secretariat, Head of Subdivisions and Head of Division at the Riau Province Education Service. And Purposive Sampling is a technique for determining samples with certain considerations, which in this research is the community that takes care of transfer letters for elementary and middle school students. This technique is used to obtain concrete data. The results of this research show that employee performance is very influential on public services at the Riau Province Education Service, it is accepted and obtains a t-count value of 2.054, so the decision H1 is accepted. This means that partially employee performance has a significant influence on public services at the Riau Province Education Service. And the results of the researchers' findings in the field are supported by interview data which states that there are obstacles experienced by employees of the Riau Province Education Service, namely Employees at the Riau Provincial Education Office lack direction in informing visitors to complete their needs according to the field concerned and there is also employee indiscipline in terms of working hours.
