Abstract

This community service program highlights that waste management through a waste bank and the development of handicrafts are effective solutions for raising environmental awareness, enhancing community skills, and creating new economic opportunities. The main objectives of this program include (1) identifying the problems and needs of the waste bank, (2) providing solutions based on the identified issues at the waste bank, and (3) increasing community involvement in waste bank activities and maximizing the benefits of the waste bank. The program partner is Bank Sampah Puan Sari Mandiri, managed by Hj. Herlinawati, S.Pd., MM, located at Jalan Mekar Sari No.48 RT.03 RW.05, Tangkerang Selatan Village, Bukit Raya District. The stages of this program include socialization, training, technology implementation, mentoring and evaluation, and program sustainability. Evaluation results show that most participants, 53.33%, fully understood the stages of the program, while 33.34% understood and 13.33% had a sufficient understanding of the material presented.
