Abstract

Steam flowed in a formation sometimes does not match the expected target (user demand). The actual rate (flow rate in the field) is calculated using Pertamina Hulu Rokan software, but the steam flow (flow rate) can be calculated using the bernouli formula using the DP (differential pressure) equation. By calculating the steam flow, it is expected to know the target rate is achieved or not and as one of the reports to the center (user) how the development of steam injected into the reservoir. In measuring the steam rate measurement with a predetermined target, it must determine the size of the choke bean and orifice plate to reduce pressure or limit flow. In addition, problems on the surface around the well injector such as infrastructure damage and subsurface such as the occurrence of back pressure, SRM measurements cannot be made. In this study, the target rate required by the three wells whose flow rates were calculated was around 300 bspd. Based on the results of calculations that have been carried out with the help of Mirosoft Excel from the differential pressure equation to determine the steam flow in several well injectors analyzed, the result of the steam flow rate for well X is 253.57 bsp (barrel steam per day), then for well Y a steam flow rate of 237.67 bsp is obtained, and for well Z a steam flow rate of 233.73 bsp is obtained. The pressure entering the well injector is regulated through the orifice plate and choke bean. Depending on the target rate that has been determined by PE at the center (User), the size of the choke bean and orifice plate must be adjusted (can be seen in the Orifice VS Choke Bean table) and the orifice available at SDI Warehouse.
