Abstract

Well P is a repair well located at PT. X field A. Well P will be subjected to well service work in the form of a recondition pump, but the well experiences a flowing problem where when the injection well is turned off but well P continues to flow. It is necessary to analyze the kill fluid design in the killing well work and analyze the economics in the form of the cost of using tools and materials so that the well is successfully killed. Because the circuit in the well is an ESP circuit, the method that will be used to overcome the flowing problem in the killing well work is the bullhead method. The killing well work on well P uses 2 types of NaCl, namely NaCl type A and NaCl type B. In the killing well work using NaCl type A, the well is still in a flowing state where the total number of NaCl sacks used is 258 sacks, the formation water used is 313 bfw, and the kill mud weight is 9.8 ppg. While the killing well work uses NaCl type B, the NaCl used is 182 sacks, the formation water used is 173 bfw, and the kill mud weight is 9.8 ppg. The NaCl content in NaCl type B is greater, namely 98.26% compared to NaCl type A which has a NaCl content of 93.01%, this is what makes the killing well work using NaCl type B successful. In addition, the costs used in well P which is still flowing using NaCl type A have a total cost of Rp. 494,632,083 while in well P which successfully uses NaCl type B has a total cost of Rp. 187,983,104.
