Abstract
The gas turbine is the prime mover that produces electrical power at PT. PLN (Persero). To be able to meet the electricity load borne by PLN, it is necessary to have a power plant that has performance conditions good work. One of them is by optimizing the fuel system gas turbine. This research aims to increase the efficiency of gas turbines by optimizing the fuel system in the energy conversion process. In this study, fuel system parameters were selected from variations in flow rate mass of fuel during working operation. Analysis results of the material mass flow rate Fuel has an influence on the performance of the gas turbine system. Where increasingly The higher the fuel mass flow rate, the performance of the gas turbine system increase. This can be seen from the performance parameter values of the gas turbine system the value is obtained according to when the machine is operating until 18:00 WIB. The high thermal efficiency is 58.32%. This is due to the mass flow rate Large amounts of fuel will increase compressor work compresses the air, thereby causing an increase in pressure and the temperature of the air entering the combustion chamber, if pressure and temperature the air increases, the combustion process will be complete so that the heat is generated The output becomes large and it is confirmed that the heat produced If it is large, the heat that is absorbed can be used to work more efficiently so that increase thermal efficiency.
