Abstract

Service innovation through applications, especially in online applications in the management of lost KTP-el and damaged KTP-el can be download via android- based smartphones, the Waiting Service Application (LAGU) aims to make it easier for people to apply without queuing directly. The purpose of this research aims to find out how the Innovation of Public Administration through the Waiting Service Application (LAGU) at The Population and Civil Registration Office of Pekanbaru City and what are the factors inhibiting the innovation of the Waiting Service Application (LAGU). This research was conducted at The Population and Civil Registration Office of Pekanbaru City, using Qualitative methods, Data collection using interview, Observation, and Documentation techniques. The theory used in this research is according to Rogers in Prabowo (2022:18). The results of this study indicate that the existence of Public Service Innovation through the Waiting Service Application (LAGU) has had a fairly convenience but there are obstacles for people who are elderly and the lack of socialization of the Waiting Service Application (LAGU). Suggestions for the Waiting Service (LAGU) are to conduct an evaluation and conduct socialization by involving UPT in the sub-district in Pekanbaru City so that the information obtained by the Pekanbaru City community is evenly distributed.
