Abstract

The aim of this study was to determine the interaction effect and the main factors of bokashi oil palm fronds and TSP fertilizer on the growth and production of tomato plants. This research was carried out at the Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Riau Islamic University, Pekanbaru, from August to November 2022. The design used in this study was a factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of two factors. The first factor was the oil palm frond bokashi consisting of 4 treatment levels, namely 0; 250; 500; and 750 g/plant and the second factor is TSP fertilizer consisting of 4 treatment levels, namely 0; 2.5; 5; and 7.5 g/plant. Parameters observed were plant height, number of productive branches, stem diameter, flowering age, harvest age, number of fruit per plant, fruit weight per plant, fruit weight per fruit, number of remaining fruit per plant and root volume. Observational data were analyzed statistically and continued with the BNJ follow-up test at the 5% level. Based on the results of the research that has been done, it can be concluded as follows: the interaction of oil palm frond bokashi and TSP fertilizer has a significant effect on the parameters of plant height, number of productive branches, stem diameter, number of fruits per plant, fruit weight per plant, fruit weight per fruit, number of fruit residue per plant and root volume, the best treatment was 750 g/plant of oil palm bokashi and 5 g/plant of TSP. The main effect of oil palm frond bokashi is significant on all observation parameters. The best treatment is a dose of 750 g/plant. The main effect of TSP is real on all observed parameters. The best treatment dose is 5 g/plant.
