Abstract

This study is motivated by the problems of students’ learning concentration in class V at SD IT Bunayya Pekanbaru. This is indicated by the signs of several students who are less prepared to participate in learning due to fatigue and restlessness due to the heat after playing during break time and there are also students who are busy talking during learning. This study aims of to investigate the influence of demonstration method on students’ learning concentration in class V at SD IT Bunayya Pekanbaru. This is a quantitative study with a correlational approach. The population of the study consists of 80 students. The data collection techniques of the study are questionnaires and documentation. The study has two variables, variable X (demonstration method) and variable Y (learning concentration). From the results of the study, it is found that the result of hypothesis test is 0.01 < 0.05, which means that there is an influence of the demonstration method on students’ learning concentration in class V at SD IT Bunayya Pekanbaru. The magnitude of the influence can be seen in the summary table, namely the R-squared value of 0.129 or 12.9%. It means that the students’ learning concentration is influenced by the demonstration method by 12.9% or included in a very low category. So, it can be concluded that the results of the study show that there is an influence of demonstration method on students’ learning concentration in class V at SD IT Bunayya Pekanbaru.
