Abstract

Background to the low level of Physical Condition of Male Basketball Athletes at the Basmec Club of SMK Negeri 2 Teluk Kuantan, Kuantan Singingi Regency. The research aims to determine the results of the Physical Condition of Male Basketball Athletes of the Basmec Club of SMK Negeri 2 Teluk Kuantan, Kuantan Singingi Regency. This type of research is quantitative descriptive research. The population was 12 people and the sample used was 12 male basketball athletes from the Basmec Club at SMK Negeri 2 Teluk Kuantan, Kuantan Singingi Regency. The technique used in the research is total sampling. Data collection techniques are observation, tests and measurements. The research results in the Perfect category (9.6 – 10) contained not one person or 0% of the entire sample, in the Very Good category (8.0 – 9.5) there was not a single person or 0% of the entire sample, and in the Good category (6.0 – 7.9) there is also not a single person or 0% of the entire sample. Meanwhile, in the Fair category (4.0 – 5.9) there were 9 players or 75% of the total sample. and in the Poor category (2.0 – 3.9) there are 3 players or 25% of the total sample. It can be concluded that the level of physical condition of the Basmec Club Basketball Male Athlete at SMK Negeri 2 Teluk Kuantan, Kuantan Singingi Regency is 4.33 in the score range of 4.0 – 5.9 so it is included in the Fair category.
