Abstract

Psychological well-being is a positive psychological conditioncharacterized by self-acceptance,good relationship, autonomy, purpose in life, environmental mastery, and slf-realization.The aim of this study is to describe the psychological well-being of adolescents in divorced families and to identify the aspects that affect their psychological well-being. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. Respondents in this study were selected using purposive sampling, meaning that they were chosen non-randomly based on specific criteria relevant to the research objectives. Data collection techniques included interviews, observations, and documentation. The data analysis technique used in this study follows Miles & Huberman's methods, which involve data collection, data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study indicate that the psychological well-being of adolescents with divorced parents varies. Informants SG and TN are in the high category with scores of 17 and 18, respectively, while informant LN is in the moderate category with a score of 12. These differences reflect the varying levels of psychological well-being among the individuals. Interviews revealed that all three informants experienced psychological impacts such as feelings of sadness, with SG becoming more independent, TN experiencing economic changes, and LN noticing changes in celebrating special moments. The processes that help them achieve good psychological well-being include self-acceptance, positive relationships, healthy autonomy, and motivating life goals. These factors are essential for enhancing overall quality of life and achieving optimal psychological well-being. The study shows that all three informants were able to accept their situations, recover, receive support from friends and family, and motivate themselves.
