Abstract

The Effect of Using Cube Root Board Media on the Mathematics Learning Outcomes of Class V Students at State Elementary School 009 Sungai Pagar Narizka Alifya1? Primary School Teacher Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Islamic University of Riau Email: narizkaalifya@student.uir.ac.id1? ABSTRACT One of the components included in the mathematics learning process is learning media. Learning media functions as non-verbal media that must be available and utilized in learning. One of the learning media used, especially in class V, is concrete media. In order to achieve abstract mathematics concepts, especially in cube root material, the facts confirm the low student learning outcomes, which can be seen when researchers are conducting interviews where there are two interrelated problems, namely: learning outcomes and mathematics education teaching materials. Therefore, there is a need for learning media to support students in dealing with problems regarding cube roots. The aim of the research is to understand the influence of using Cubic Root Media on the Cubic Root theory. Quantitative type research using a pre-experimental design method, with a Two Group Pre-test Post-test design. The research subjects were students in class 5A as the experimental class and 5B as the control class at SD Negeri 009 Sungai Pagar.
