Abstract
Deo Kayangan is a ritual for treating diseases caused by supernatural powers. This ritual is held in Tebing Tinggi Okura Village, Rumbai Pesisir District, Pekanbaru City, Riau Province. The ritual is led by a Malay shaman named Tuk Damai. Tuk Damai was asked by the community to make this ritual as entertainment by making an imitation of Deo Kayangan named Badeo. The theory used is Jazuli's theory (2016: 52) The existence of dance in a society and the culture that surrounds it does not appear, and does not appear suddenly but through the process of space and time. Space is usually related to events, performance and value systems, while time is related to the production process (creation).
