Abstract

Road damage is a major challenge in maintaining transportation infrastructure that affects transportation efficiency and safety. The research is to analyze road damage on the Pasir Pengaraian-Rantau Berangin road section. The aim of this research is to identify the type of damage, analyze the level of damage, analyze the causes of damage and analyze damage handling methods. The research method uses Bina Marga, a combination of field surveys and secondary data analysis to obtain a comprehensive understanding. Based on the damage numbers that have been added up, the average damage number is 14.6, so the determination of the road condition value is in ring 13 – 15, namely with the road condition value being 5 (five) Light Damage, then the damage will continue to grow from IRI value of 8 becomes 12 if no improvements are made within three years. The results of the analysis of the level of road damage obtained from the research location were the Pasir Pengaraian-Rantau Berangin KM road section. 40-45 is at number 6 (six), and the cause of damage based on data on the position of damage to the wheel track is due to excessive load influenced by weather, and based on the results of the priority order of policy recommendations for handling it is included in the road class or group with the solution action "Periodic Maintenance Program.
