Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine the effect of competency and job satisfaction on the performance of nurses and midwives at the Pekanbaru Mother and Child Hospital. The population in the study were nurses and midwives as many as 81 respondents with sampling using the Census method where the entire population was sampled, namely 81 respondents. The types and sources of data in this research are primary and secondary data. Data collection techniques in this research were interviews and questionnaires. The data analysis technique in this research is multiple linear regression testing using SPSS 26. Based on the research results and discussion of this research, it shows that the Competency variable has a positive and significant effect on the Performance of Nurses and Midwives at the Pekanbaru Mother and Child Hospital, then for the Satisfaction variable Work has a positive and significant effect on the performance of nurses and midwives at the Pekanbaru Mother and Child Hospital. Judging from the test results in this research, it means that Competence and Job Satisfaction have a significant effect on the Performance of Nurses and Midwives at the Pekanbaru Mother and Child Hospital.
