Abstract

The main objective of this study is to analyze employee performance in an effort to increase regional original income at the UPT Motorized Vehicle Testing Department of Transportation, Bengkalis Regency. This type of research is qualitative. The number of research informants is 5 people with the Head of the Department of Transportation as key informants. Data collection techniques by interviews and data analysis in this study used on-site data analysis techniques developed by Miles Huberman. The main conclusion from this study is that employee performance in efforts to increase local original income at UPT Motorized Vehicle Testing at the Bengkalis Regency Transportation Service is good, but there are a number of things that need to be improved, especially on the indicators of Productivity, Service Quality, Responsiveness, Responsibility and Accountability. This is due to the lack of Human Resources owned by the UPT. Where the need for Human Resources in this UPT is a vital need. In particular, test personnel to test motorized vehicles are required to test. The human resource requirements needed at UPT PKB Bengkalis Regency are testing staff from level 1 to level 5. This is because there are people in Bengkalis Regency who have tank cars, and these vehicles can only be tested by level 5 testers. And the current condition The UPT does not have level 5 testing staff, so the community finds it difficult if they have to test it outside the area, because they have to bring their vehicles there.
