Abstract
Education and training seeks to develop the intellectual abilities and personality of employees. Therefore, every organization that wants to develop must really pay attention to employee education and training so that it can affect employee performance improvement. However, in terms of the quality of their work, there are still many employees who do not have the skills in accordance with their field of work, then employees have not applied the material taught during education and training (training) to their jobs and the evaluation of training carried out by agencies has not been carried out. The purpose of this study is to analyze how the performance of the employees of the Lingga District Education, Youth and Sports Office has conducted training. The method used is descriptive and qualitative; The informants in this study were the Head of Service, Secretary of Service, Head of Basic Education Development, Head of Early Childhood Education and PNF, Head of Student and Early Childhood Character Development Section, Head of PTK PAUD and Staff. Data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation. The results of this study are that the performance of employees at the Lingga Regency Youth and Sports Education Office has not been carried out properly and still needs to be improved and improved again. The results of the observations of the researchers stated that by carrying out education and training activities it was hoped that the State Civil Apparatus within the Lingga Regency government could improve their performance and apply the knowledge gained from education and training in their workplace. The inhibiting factor is the limited budget in the implementation of education and training, the longer the education and training activities are carried out, the more the budget is issued, while the amount of the budget that has been set by the government is insufficient and budget cuts have been made many times. There is a lot of work that must be carried out at the same time, so that employees who attend the training cannot focus on participating in the training.
