Abstract

Abstract The purpose of this study is to evaluate the performance of the women and childrenempowerment office (DP3A) in Pekanbaru City in minimizing early marriage. The methodused in this study is a qualitative method with a type of descriptive research type. This study used purposive sampling techniques and data analysis techniques using datareduction, data presentation, and conclusions. The results of the study are not yetachieved satisfactory results to minimize early marriage. The conclusion of relatedagency research is less effective in minimizing early marriage so that there are still manychildren who marry underage due to the lack of comprehensive socialization about early marriage and there are still people who are not aware of the impact of early marriage.The contribution of this research was the Office of Women's Empowerment and ChildProtection (DP3A) of Pekanbaru City.
