Abstract

Public services in general have not yet reached optimal quality, this can be seen from the many complaints of the public in obtaining public services that are slow, expensive, convoluted, inadequate infrastructure provided by government agencies or institutions. In order for the realization of excellent public service, a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) is needed, which is used as a reference for carrying out the duties and obligations of work units in accordance with the scope of their respective duties. Riau Safety Driving Center (RSDC), especially the Regident unit as a public service agency, has an SOP in carrying out its duties and obligations, so that traffic control units can carry out their duties and authorities as a government agency to be directed and organized in order to achieve professional service. The research method used in this paper is descriptive quantitative type in which the author explains in percentage form and ends with drawing a conclusion based on field data and the results of interviews and questionnaires. The results of this study indicate that public services at the Riau Safety Driving Center (RSDC) Pekanbaru City are in a fairly good category, which means that the service provided by the community has met the needs of the community but has not provided the best, because there are still several complaints from the community regarding services in making letters. Driver's License. As for the advice given to Riau Safety Driving is to improve public services through the division of tasks to personnel to serve and fulfill the needs of making and applying for a twowheeled vehicle driving license.
