Abstract

ABSTRACT IMPLEMENTATION OF EXTRACURICULAR ACTIVITIES IN THE ARTS OF DANCE (TRADITIONAL DANCE) SMA NEGERI 1 RUMBIO JAYA, KAMPAR DISTRICT, RIAU PROVINCE ACADEMIC YEAR 2022/2023 By: ARSYA RAMADHANI 166710480 This study aims to find out how extracurricular activities for dance (traditional dance) are carried out at SMAN 1 Rumbio Jaya, Rumbio Jaya District, Kampar Regency, Riau Province, 2022/2023 Academic Year. This study uses Suryosubroto's theory of extracurricular activities which has several aspects such as objectives, materials, methods, infrastructure and evaluation or assessment. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative using research subjects consisting of trainers and teachers who teach arts and culture at the school and students who are also active members who are members of the dance extracurricular. The results of this study revealed that the material for carrying out dance extracurricular activities at SMAN 1 Rumbio Jaya was the Pasombahan Kampar dance which was included in the material being taught, the methods used in dance extracurricular activities at SMAN 1 Rumbio Jaya were lecture methods, demonstration methods and methods peer tutors as well as students are very enthusiastic when practicing and practicing. Facilities and infrastructure for dance extracurricular activities at SMAN 1 Rumbio Jaya include classrooms and open spaces for practicing and practicing, speakers, laptops. Assessment of the implementation of dance extracurricular activities at Kampar 1 Public High School, namely: direct assessment of the time of the training process based on the wiraga, wirama, and wirasa aspects, given quantitatively with complete or incomplete categories with a percentage of 88.23%. In the future the school will have dancers who can be proud of in the FL2SN competition which can make the name of the school proud.
