Abstract

The people of Indragiri Hulu are still not familiar with their own regional musical instruments, because as we know today's people are different from the people before who cared about their customs and culture. Supported by advances in technology and the large number of foreign cultures that have entered our country so that our people easily forget the cultural, intellectual, and spiritual heritage of our archipelago's heritage and ancestral values. conversing with elders, having dialogues to find out related data regarding musical instruments that will be adopted in this final project as validation of musical instruments used. Thank God, after the research was carried out, the authors succeeded in making applications that could be accepted by the community to recognize traditional musical instruments in their area. The application for the introduction of traditional musical instruments in Indragiri Hulu Regency using Augmented Reality Technology can be used as a learning medium and an introduction to the types of traditional musical instruments used in the Malay world in Indragiri Hulu Regency, especially for the community and students.
