Abstract

Student learning outcomes at State Elementary School 138 Pekanbaru are still relatively low. It is known that some students work together when working on test questions given by the teacher with the note that the other student only moves the answer to the theme and only thinks about other answers. There are still students who have low self-confidence in expressing opinions during learning, students lack focus and enthusiasm in following. learning that is considered difficult or less interesting. The aim of this research is to determine whether there is a relationship between peer interactions and self-confidence with student learning outcomes in class V of SD Negeri 138 Pekanbaru. The research method is quantitative with a population of 86 class V students with a sampling technique using saturated sampling. Data was collected through a questionnaire and processed using hypothesis testing with the help of SPSS Version 22. The results of the study showed that there was a positive and significant relationship between peer interaction and student self-confidence on student learning outcomes in Class V of SD Negeri 138 Pekanbaru, peer interaction (X1 ) and student self-confidence (X2) contribute 56.5% to student interest in learning (Y). Meanwhile, the remaining 43.5% is influenced by other factors outside this research such as student interest in learning, motivation, discipline and so on.
