Abstract

Diesel motors are widely used as driving engines, both for vehicles, heavy equipment and power plants. In diesel motors, diesel fuel has a very important role. Apart from that, consumers really need car vehicles that have optimal engine performance, are fuel efficient, and are free from bad exhaust emissions. By adding Diesel Treatment to diesel motor fuel, the cetane value will increase so that the prospect of consumer demand for Diesel Treatment. increasing in line with the increase in population. In this research, the addition of various Diesel Treatments was mixed into diesel fuel to determine the best performance and exhaust emissions in the Toyota Fortuner car. This research was carried out using three variations of fuel, namely 5 liters of pure diesel with 50 ml of Diesel Treatment, 10 liters of pure diesel with 100 ml of Diesel Treatment, and 15 liters of pure diesel with 150 ml of Diesel Treatment at 5000 rpm engine speed and performing performance tests. work with a Dynamometer and exhaust gas emissions with a Gas analyzer. From the test results, the use of a mixture of Diesel Treatment with diesel fuel has a better influence on performance and exhaust gas emissions than pure diesel, the best performance and exhaust gas emissions are when using a mixture of Diesel Treatment with 15 liters of diesel fuel at an additional 150 ml Diesel Treatment which has the highest torque of 327.61 Nm and the highest power of 171.54 kW and produces exhaust gas emissions that have the lowest CO gas of 100% and the lowest HC value of 21 ppm.
