Abstract
Cyber Crime is a crime of damaging data and information, based on idsirti data in December 2022 hacking cases are domiciled by the education sector. Riau Islamic University is included in the education sector which has many sources of information and data exchange, one of the websites used by Riau Islamic University precisely at the Faculty of Engineering is SIPA which can be accessed by students, lecturers, deans, etc. This research provides an overview of SIPA security from sniffing attacks. This research provides an overview of SIPA security from sniffing attacks, which can see sensitive information in the form of usernames and passwords. So there needs to be a pentes against SIPA to check the security gap with the live forensic method of the NIST (National Institute of Standards Technology) framework. The results of this study show that SIPA has a security gap that can be a bridge for criminals to carry out their actions.
