Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the contribution of arm muscle strength and motivation to the volleyball bottom serve of students at SMK Negeri 2 Tanah Putih, Kabupaten Rokan Hilir. This type of research is multiple correlation. The population and sample in this study were students of SMK Negeri 2 Tanah Putih, Kabupaten Rokan Hilir, totaling 15 people using a sampling technique, namely total sampling, so the sample in this study was 15 people. The research instruments used were the push up test, questionnaire test and volleyball bottom serve test. The data analysis technique used is calculating the multiple correlation value. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that (1) There is a contribution of arm muscle strength to the volleyball bottom serve of students at SMK Negeri 2 Tanah Putih, Kabupaten Rokan Hilir, amounting to 69.56%, (2) There is a contribution of student motivation to the volleyball bottom serve of students at SMK Negeri 2 Tanah Putih. Rokan Hilir Regency was 40.32%, (3) There was a contribution of arm muscle strength and student motivation to the volleyball bottom serve of students at SMK Negeri 2 Tanah Putih Kabupaten Rokan Hilir of 73.79%.
