Abstract

Psychotropic drugs are substances or drugs, whether natural or synthetic, non-narcotic, which have psychoactive properties through selective effects on the central nervous system which cause characteristic changes in mental activity and behavior. For students, especially nursing students, it is very important to know what type of medicine will be given to patients because nurses are health workers who are always around patients and know the patient's condition. The lack of knowledge about the types of medicines for people with mental disorders is due to limited media to support the learning process regarding introduction to medicines for people with mental disorders, nursing students only get information about medicines from books and inadequate explanations from other health workers. On this basis, the author intends to design an application "Recognizing Medicines for People with Mental Disorders Based on Symptoms Using Augmented Reality", to help the learning process of recognizing medicines for people with mental disorders among health care student nurses who are carrying out practical work at home. Handsome Mental Illness using markerless techniques and using the ARCoreSDK library. Based on testing at a distance of 15 cm to 200 cm, 3D objects can be displayed well, and objects can be displayed outdoors or indoors and can track (mark) locations anywhere provided they have a light intensity of at least 12 lux. Based on the results of user testing, the percentage was 87% with 35 nursing students responding, so this application can be implemented as a learning medium for introducing drugs specifically for mental disorders.
