Abstract

Community service aims to accompany teachers in improving writing skills and assisting in publishing books for junior high school teachers in Pekanbaru. This is achieved by introducing innovative and practical tools such as Grammarly, Quillbolt, OpenAI, Mendeley, and Turnitin in line with the teaching materials. The delivery methods include both offline and online workshops. The stages of community service implementation include stating objectives, providing writing motivation, presenting materials, practicing the use of applications, writing exercises, checking similarity in written work, editing, and publishing. There were 20 participants, consisting of junior high school teachers in Pekanbaru. The activity included a survey on the introduction and utilization of AI tools. The survey revealed that many teachers needed to become more familiar with these applications. Therefore, this guidance aims to enhance teachers' skills in writing and publishing books. The conclusion of this community service is specific to 20 junior high school teachers in Pekanbaru and generally applies to teachers throughout the archipelago. This community service can reference future activities with broader subject coverage. The contributions of this community service include (1) creating a book by the curriculum using AI tools and (2) facilitating teachers in designing lessons according to their subjects.
