Abstract

The aim of the PkM activity is to provide assistance in utilizing Spotify podcasts as an independent English learning medium for YAPIM Siak Hulu Vocational School students. The service team carries out PkM activities by providing regular assistance, starting with an explanation of how to use Spotify podcasts. The team then provides assistance when students use Spotify podcasts in learning. Spotify podcasts are very interesting for students learning English because they provide a means for students to gain access to authentic listening resources on their desired subject. The use of Spotify podcasts in learning has become an alternative medium for learning English both in class and independently at YAPIM Siak Hulu Vocational School because 92.5% of students like using Spotify podcasts and 1.9% are quite happy using Spotify podcasts. This means that using Spotify podcasts can help them communicate well and correctly on a daily basis.
