Abstract
Since Covid-19 spread to Indonesia, the government has begun to make various efforts. One of the efforts made by the government is to implement an online learning system. This study aims to determine how much influence the online learning system has on students' stress levels, how high students' stress levels are and also to find out the highest cause of stress experienced by students majoring in Communication Science, Islamic University of Riau. This study uses a quantitative approach. The population in this study amounted to 272 people with a total sample of 162 respondents using the Simple Random Sampling method. Data collection techniques using a questionnaire with a Likert scale. The results of this study indicate that the magnitude of the influence of the online learning system on the stress level of students with a close relationship is 0.635 which is included in the category of a strong relationship with a contribution of 40.3%, which means that it is quite influential. Student stress is at a high stress level with a percentage of 54.3%. The highest cause of stress experienced by students is caused by an unstable internet network, thus affecting students when accessing material, studying via zoom or google meet and being late for attendance.
