Abstract

This study aims to determine the causes of learning difficulties in students during the science learning process for class VII SMPN BUNUT District. This study used a questionnaire technique of 22 questions from 5 indicators and the sample of this study amounted to 67 people. The research instrument uses interviews, questionnaires, observation and documentation. The results of the study with the percentage of questionnaire data on the first indicator, namely psychological on difficulties in learning, consisted of 55.47% positive statements in the enough category and 53.81% in negative statements in the sufficient category. The second indicator that is physical towards learning difficulties consists of negative statements on average 50.75% in the sufficient category and negative statements on average 50.75% in the sufficient category. The third indicator is the school environment, how to teach teachers, teaching aids/media used for difficulties in learning consist of positive statements with an average of 52.73% in the sufficient category, and negative statements with an average of 34.82% in the category low. The fourth indicator is the family environment, the way parents educate and the atmosphere at home only consists of negative statements with an average of 54.10% being in the sufficient category. And the fifth indicator is the mass media community, friends and forms of community life, consisting of positive statements with an average of 58.21% being in the enough category. Negative statements with an average of 37.47% are in the low category.
