Abstract

This thesis discusses the perception of parents on the implementation of their children's education in Belantaraya village, Gaung district, Indragiri downstream district, Riau province, namely regarding the responses/views of parents about the implementation of early childhood education in Belantaraya village, as well as seeing the community's response to the existence of education for early childhood. The purpose of this study was to determine the perception of parents on the implementation of early childhood education in Belantaraya village. This research method uses qualitative methods. Data analysis was carried out through four stages: data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and data verification. Subjects in qualitative research are called main informants, totaling 6 people, 3 parents who do not send their children to school, and 3 parents who are sending their children to PAUD Permata, Belantaraya village, qualitative research subjects called supporting informants totaling 3 people, 1 headmaster of PAUD Permata, 1 Permata PAUD teacher, and 1 Belantaraya village head. The location of this research is PAUD Permata, Belantaraya village, Gaung sub-district, Indragiri downstream. The results of this study indicate that the perception of parents on the implementation of early childhood education is still low because the implementation of PAUD Permata is less attractive, and parents who still do not understand the importance of early childhood education. must be taken for their children so that the need for broad socialization so that the community understands.
