Abstract

This study aims to determine the factors that influence the formation of BUMDes in Kuantan Mudik District, Kuantan Singingi Regency. These factors include village government initiatives, village economic potential, natural resources in the village, human resources capable of managing BUMDes and capital. The type of research used is qualitative. Data was collected using interview, observation, and documentation techniques. The data obtained were analyzed qualitatively and then elaborated and then made conclusions. The informants consisted of the Head of the SPMD Office of Kuantan Singingi Regency, the Head of the Kuantan Mudik Sub-district, the Head of Community Empowerment as a facilitator for the formation and development of BUMDes, the Sangau Village Head as a village that had not yet established a BUMDes, and the Village Head of Bukit Pedusunan as a village that had established a BUMDes. From the results of the study, it can be seen that the factors that become opportunities to encourage the formation of BUMDes, the implementation is still not running effectively due to the lack of knowledge, creativity and innovation of the community and village government in developing this potential as well as a scientific deepening analysis of the potential related to the opportunities that exist in each village. has not been carried out by the District Government or the Kuantan Singingi Regency Government.
