Abstract

The aim of this study is to determine and analyze the management of environmental damage caused by forest fires by the Environment and Forest Service of Riau Province. The following problems arise: 1. One of the obstacles facing DLHK Riau Province in overcoming air pollution is a lack of public understanding. 2. Difficult access to forest fires and limited control and prevention processes and incomplete evidence for solving fire problems. This research used quantitative method with a descriptive approach, namely research that attempts to describe the object or subject to be studied as it is. The population and sample of this research were office heads, secretaries, field managers, department heads, control officers, and the communities affected by the fire. In this study, a sample was drawn using simple random samples. The theory used in this research is H.B. Siswanto. The data analysis techniques used in this study were questionnaires, interviews, observations and then quantitative analyzes, the results of which are presented in the form of tables, numbers, percentages and provided with supporting descriptions and information so that conclusions can be drawn. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the employee's performance was not maximum and that there are no severe sanctions against the company.
