Abstract

Basically, the policy for hiring honorary teachers is left to the needs of each agency. At SMP Negeri 30 Pekanbaru there are 27 teachers with the status of permanent teachers or civil servants and as many as 6 honorary teachers. At SMP Negeri 30, teachers are differentiated based on status and class, not based on their achievements and competence. The existence of several layers in the school organization makes teaching no longer a top priority. But the pursuit of social status alone. This condition is further exacerbated by differences related to teachers' salaries. So far, it has been known that many public and private schools are assisting honorary teachers to assist the implementation of learning in schools. The purpose of this study is to analyze the work motivation of honorary teachers at SMP Negeri 30 Pekanbaru City. The method used is descriptive and qualitative; Informants in this study were school principals, deputy principals and honorary teachers. Data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation. The results of this study are that the work motivation of honorary teachers at Public Junior High School 30 Pekanbaru City is quite good. tasks and willing to work with a team. Honorary teachers have work motivation from within themselves such as instilling intentions, and getting work motivation support from the school. Honorary teachers have achievements both from the teacher and the results of the education of homoneral teachers as evidenced by the award charter.
