Abstract

One of the areas in the city of Pekanbaru that often experiences flooding is the area of Darma Bakti road, Payung Sekaki sub-district. There was flooding at several points caused by long rains. For an average flood height + 30 - 45 cm. Based on field observations, the cause of the flooding that occurred on Darma Bakti Street was that the drainage capacity of the drainage channel was not sufficient so that it was unable to optimally accommodate surface runoff and there were many piles of garbage around the drainage. The purpose of this study was to determine the existing condition of the drainage and flood control that occurred on Darma Bakti road Pekanbaru. The method in this study uses the EPA SWMM 5.1 software simulation program. The results obtained are that the existing drainage conditions are unable to accommodate rain discharge with a flood height of 30-45 cm where there are 6 flood junctions. For flood control on the Darma Bakti road, Pekanbaru city, it was carried out with 3 scenarios, namely changing the dimensions of the channel (deepening the channel with a rectangular drainage geometry and dimensions of width (b) = 1.2 m; height (h) = 0.8 m (J1, J2, J3, J4, J7, J8, J10, J11) while b = 1.2 m, h = 1.94 m (J5), b=1.2m, h = 2.2 m (J6) and b = 1.2 m, h = 1.09 m (J9) For drainage points J5 and J6 have a height of 2.75 times the existing h, namely 1.94 m and 2.2 m, while J9 has a height of 1.36 times the existing h, namely 1.09 m), changing the geometry of the drainage channel (circle shape with a diameter of 1.2 m) and planning infiltration wells (22 pieces; dimensions R = 0.7 m , H = 3m).
